Brandon Sheen moved to the Rio Grande Valley in 2016 and saw a lack of Korean fried chicken, prompting him to take action. He opened a small location on 10th Street focused solely on fried chicken and has since expanded to a new venue in Mission/South McAllen, featuring a more diverse menu. 🍚🥢
Inspired by his mother’s cooking from South Korea, Brandon offers standout dishes like Spicy Pork Bulgogi and marinated Galbi (beef short ribs), along with an unforgettable chicken sandwich topped with Kiri Kiri sauce. 🐥
The Mission location is also a lively event space for car shows and K-pop events, serving late hours with a variety of drinks, including sake flights. 🇰🇷

Whenever we go to the McAllen Farmers Market we MUST get Dona Mary’s tamales! 🫔 They’re made with olive oil instead of lard so they’re healthy, homemade and so delicious. 🤤 Our favorite fillings are the mole negro and cranberry cream cheese.

The RGV chapter meets once a month, on the last Sunday of every month, at Archer Park in McAllen, Texas.
Everything they do is volunteer based, that means people bring plant based foods, hygiene products, clothes, and other goods.
